Summary: Science and magic tend to go together about as well as red flowing capes and temperamental bulls. But sometimes, when it comes to a particularly nasty haunting, it can work.

History: Emeric Belasco was known for two things: being very tall (thanks to prosthetics), and very hedonistic and violent in his heyday. His body still remains in his household, and his mere presence has given the Belasco House the amusing moniker, "the Mount Everest of haunted houses". They say the spirits of those he murdered and tortured still roam the house, though many speculate that the place is just loaded with electromagnetic energy. This is a horror movie, what explanation do you think is true?

Final Fate: As it turns out, it's Belasco who's been the only spirit. All the others were just extensions of his power. He discovered the key to life after death by lining the house with lead so that the electromagnetic energy would bind him. With the help of a machine just for this energy, Belasco is exorcised from his household.

Powers/Abilities: Can possess objects and living things across a significant radius.

Weakness: Relies on electromagnetic energy to stay bound to the world of the living.

Scariness Factor: 3-He must have been quite imposing in his heyday, but it was all an act. Still, he's fairly decent as a spiritual entity.

Trivia: -Amazingly, the soundtrack never became available until all the way into 2017.

-Belasco was played by an uncredited Michael Gough, who one might recognize as Alfred Pennyworth from Tim Burton's "Batman".
